The K.P. Wee Podcast

Greg Allen Harris, generally known as Greg A. Harris during his 15-year Major League Baseball career (as there was another right-hander named Greg Wade Harris during the same era), stops by in this episode as this week marks the 25th anniversary of his historic feat of pitching with both hands in a big-league game.

On September 28, 1995, Greg A. pitched both right-handed and left-handed for the Montreal Expos against the Cincinnati Reds, becoming the first pitcher to use both hands to pitch in a major-league game since 1893, or 102 years earlier.

In today’s episode, Greg A. talks about what he’s been up to recently and also shares a cool story about glove and sporting goods companies during his time in the big leagues. A natural right-handed pitcher for the Expos, Mets, Padres, Reds, Rangers, Phillies, Red Sox, and Yankees over his lengthy career, Greg A. recounts reaching the 1984 postseason with San Diego, pitching with both hands in the September 1995 game with Montreal against Cincinnati, and being a key member of the pitching staffs in Texas and Boston.
