In a conversation recorded in the final week of the 2020 Major League Baseball regular season, Montreal-based sports consultant Jason Takefman discusses baseball in Canada—including his take on the 1994 Expos, the sport in Montreal in general, and the idea that the Blue Jays are “Canada’s Team.”
Takefman also shares his thoughts on some of the happenings from the current season, from "big-market" teams in the postseason to the expanded playoff format to other changes such as the universal DH.
Takefman—a long-time sports executive in Minor League Baseball, the NHL, and the UFC—even chats about his background in the sports industry as well as the weekly podcast which he co-hosts, “Baseball Writers: The IBWAA Podcast.”
